Chernecky I have been very pleased with this LCD monitor since I purchased it (on sale) a couple of months ago. It has a clear, bright picture with an excellent color array. Many shades of color are apparent to me now that were never displayed on my old bulky CRT unit. This monitor will save you money by going into sleep mode when there is no computer activity. The wider screen is another benefit of this monitor that makes it much easier to work on two documents at one time. When you plug in the power cord, it inserts into a small area slightly behind and underneath the screen. There is a CD included with a user guide, a quick start guide (unnecessary considering the simplicity of installing the unit) and Acrobat Reader. Lastly, if you still have a CRT monitor, be aware that many donation centers no longer accept CRT monitors. I found someone at GoodWill to take mine, but perhaps the excellent condition persuaded him. Update (9/27): The brightness can sometimes be overwhelming. I was able to compensate for this problem by adjusting the monitor contrast in my computer settings. It now seems perfectly normal to me. However, I have adjusted my rating from five to four stars. It's still a great value if you wait for a vendor (such as Tiger Direct) to place it on sale. Be prepared to adjust the contrast, however.
